Team
One wrestlers were again outstanding on Sunday, employing the techniques that
they had worked hard on in practice. The
team's never-quit attitude showed up on the scoreboard as not a single wrestler
was pinned while our team recorded several.
Kyle Holt, at 38 pounds, employed his new level changing technique to
get low and score often from his feet. Kyle has become one of the team's more consistent wrestlers, improving
each week.
Ben Zaske, at 46 pounds, has become a takedown terror on the mat,
scoring early and often from his feet. On Sunday, Ben also executed his standup to perfection, earning several
escapes.
Tyler Pustilinick, at 56 pounds, once again proved a formidable
opponent taking two of three matches from CB Raiders travel team wrestlers. He continued to work his spiral ride and half
nelson combination for back points.
Tyler Brennan, at 60 pounds, was once again outstanding on
his feet, dominating both of his opponents from the neutral position. In his second match he won a 6-4 thriller
against a much more experienced opponent with all of his points coming on
takedowns.
Ray Baker, at 50 pounds, is showing dramatic improvement from the top
position. He is consistently working for
wrist control and following
Cameron Doner, at 64 pounds, wrestled well in two tough
matches. In the last match, Camron executed
the spiral ride to perfection and followed with half nelson for back points.
Brady Kaiser, 48, had a terrific
match on Sunday, scrambling to score three takedowns and riding his opponent
effectively from the top position throughout the match.
